Kinsale Lions Club has been presented with the annual International Club Excellence Award, one of the highest honours a Lions club can receive.
The award was formally presented by Lions district governor Marian McGreevey, to club president Cormac Fitzgerald, recognising the club’s outstanding achievements in leadership, membership growth, community service, and humanitarian contribution.
The award celebrates Lions clubs that demonstrate exceptional commitment to service, and deliver positive impact within their communities.
It also reflects adherence to the core values and standards of Lions Clubs International.
Mr Fitzgerald thanked Kinsale Lions Club’s community partners, supporters, sponsors, and the wider public for their continued encouragement and generosity.
Former garda chief superintendent Con Cadogan was also awarded a chevron for his 30 years of dedicated service to Kinsale Lions Club.
