St Anne’s Church in Shandon has announced its annual Christmas fundraising event.

The Giving Thanks Christmas market will take place on November 22, from 11am to 5pm, to raise funds for the conservation and protection of Cork’s Shandon Bells.

The market will feature gifts from Shandon area artists and makers, ensuring patrons can secure unique, locally-made Christmas gifts, from jewellery to ceramics.

Reverend Meghan Farr, the priest in charge at St Anne’s Church, Shandon, said that by focusing on “incredible local Shandon artists and makers, as well as others from across Cork, we hope to host a market that is not only a fantastic source of high-quality Christmas gifts, but also a meaningful display of community support for our shared heritage”.

The organisers of the market said that all vendor spaces have been filled, having received a range of applications from talented artists, craftspeople, and makers from across the Shandon area and the wider Cork community.
