Kieran Golden, Principal of Mayfield Community School, told : “I’m really proud of our students and staff with our excellent results, reflects the great effort being put in.
“Delighted to see their hard work being rewarded great turnout of students called to our school and met with guidance counsellor, our school chaplain, year tutor and staff. It’s really nice to see their parents calling to the school as well as it is a family effort to get across the line.

“It’s just a fantastic achievement, a testament to their ability, the work they’ve put in, the support they’ve got from teachers and home as well – it’s everyone working together.

“They’re celebrating and happy with their results, looking forward to the future, whatever that may bring. It closes the chapter for the boys here, they turn the page then with the CAO offers and will move forward to great things – we’re thrilled for them.”
At Coláiste Eamann Rís, students came into school after getting their results to celebrate together with their friends and teachers. Principal Aaron Wolfe said: “There’s a fantastic buzz, they’ve done super – this is the day that makes teaching worthwhile for all the staff.

The weeks leading up to today have doubtless been a nervous time for everyone, but I’m sure when they logged on this morning to view their results, they felt that all their effort and sacrifice had paid off.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin said in a message on Friday morning: “Congratulations to all of you on what you have achieved so far.
“Remember there are plenty of opportunities out there now, a tremendous variety of courses and programmes you can pursue and different pathways to achieve your desired goals in life. Today is a day you can reflect on how far you have come and look ahead with optimism in terms of the opportunities available into the future.”
Minister of state at the department of education and Cork TD Michael Moynihan also congratulated the students, saying that it was a huge achievement, regardless of the results themselves: “You have put in so much time, effort, and hard work to get to this moment, and your resilience and dedication are truly a testament to your character.

“To your families, teachers, and school communities, thank you for guiding, inspiring, and supporting each student to get to this day. Your encouragement and belief have been instrumental in their success.
“We wish every student the very best for the future and are excited to see the amazing things they will achieve.”
