Cork man accused of assault causing harm to a woman remanded in custody 

The defendant appeared by video link from prison and Cork District Court. 

A 45-year-old man accused of assault causing harm to a woman and resisting arrest by a member of An Garda Síochána was remanded in custody until March 25.

Stephen Lyons of 21 Cushing Place, Farranree, Cork, appeared by video link from prison at Cork District Court.

He is charged with assault causing harm to a woman at Liam Healy Road, Farranree, and threatening to assault garda Seán Duggan with intent to resist lawful apprehension for an offence at Cushing Place.

The accused was represented by Frank Buttimer solicitor.

 On the application of Sergeant John Kelleher, Judge Áine Clancy remanded Stephen Lyons in custody until March 25.

The alleged incident occurred on Saturday, March 8, at Cushing Place.
