Santa’s Nordic Tipi was officially launched at Douglas Village Shopping Centre at the weekend by Enable Ireland children’s service user Isobel Forde.
Isobel, who attends the Enable Ireland Lavanagh Centre in Curraheen, helped to officially open the attraction at a private ceremony, which was attended by a number of service users and their family members.
Visitors to Santa’s Nordic Tipi will have the chance to tap and donate €2 towards the local disability charity, while getting ready to meet with Santa and his elves. All funds raised from the attraction will go towards the provision of care given to Enable Ireland service users in Cork.
Guests will also have the chance to get their photograph taken and will leave with a special gift, depending on ticket types.
Tickets for Santa’s Nordic Tipi, which will be open until December 23, vary in price — starting from €6 without a gift to €17 with a gift.
