Garda Superintendent pledges his team will 'go to ends of the Earth' to see those involved in violence in North Cork face justice

Supt. Gary McPolin said the “major operation” came as a response to “ongoing feuds” and was a result of an “intelligence-led operation”.
“The perpetrators… have created a lot of angst and fear among the people, but it’s their turn now...We’re not finished with them at all yet,” he said.
Superintendent Gary McPolin was speaking after a major policing operation, involving more than 60 gardaí, led to the seizure of firearms, ammunition, and suspected drugs in Cork yesterday. Three men were arrested.
Supt McPolin said the “major operation” came as a response to “ongoing feuds” and was a result of an “intelligence-led operation”.
The operation was conducted by gardaí in Mallow and Charleville as part of ongoing investigations into recent criminal damage and violent disorder incidents in North Cork.
The operation included members of the Armed Support Unit, the Air Support Unit, Cork County Serious Crime Unit, Limerick County Serious Crime Unit, the Divisional Search Unit, members from the Cork North West Community Engagement area, the Dog Unit, and the Scenes of Crime Unit.
