Bail for man charged with being drunk and a danger in Cork city

Gardaí objected to bail being granted to a man accused of obstructing a garda in the course of his duty but Judge David Waters remanded him in custody with consent to bail.

Ange Munene, aged 23, of Castlepark, Ballincollig, is charged that on Monday, August 31, at Gratton St, Cork, he was drunk and a danger, engaged in threatening behaviour and obstructed Garda David O’Driscoll in the execution of his duty.

Judge Waters remanded him in custody at Cork District Court with consent to bail – his own bail of €900, of which €600 is to be lodged, or an independent surety instead.

The case was adjourned to September 8.
