Person taken to hospital following alleged assault in Cork city

One person has been taken to hospital following an alleged assault in Mayfield this afternoon.
Emergency services attended the scene of the incident that happened at around 4pm.
A garda spokesperson said enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
A Garda spokesperson told , “Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault which occurred in Mayfield, Co.Cork at approximately 4pm this afternoon, Wednesday, 2nd October 2024.
“A male was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment. Enquiries ongoing.”
