The rebranding of eight pharmacies across Cork will signal of what has been described as “an exciting new chapter for community pharmacy care in the region”.

Eight branches of Lloyds Pharmacies located in sites across Cork city and county – including on the Grand Parade, the Lough Shopping Centre, Hollyhill Shopping Centre, the Glen as well Ballincollig, Youghal, Midleton and Charleville – are to rebranded and transformed into branches of McCabes Pharmacy.

This increases the presence of McCabes Pharmacy across Ireland to 112 branches with a total workforce of 1,400 employees.

While the branding on the shopfront and internally will be the most noticeable change for customers, further enhancements are also promised such as the rise of digital health, a focus on personalised and preventative care as well as an expanded role for integrated health services.

According to McCabes Pharmacy CEO, Sharon McCabe the rebranding will not only expand the reach of the company, allowing it to become more accessible to its patients, it will also reinforce the company’s ‘dedication to patient centric healthcare’.

“We are excited about the future and the opportunities this rebranding brings as we become Ireland’s leading pharmacy brand with 112 pharmacies in addition to providing greater access nationwide to Ireland’s largest online health pharmacy website and app which boosts excellent customer ratings for service including next day delivery and click and collect,” said Ms McCabe.

Customers of Lloyds Pharmacy branches in the Cork and other locations will continue to see the familiar faces from the teams they know and trust, the Managing Director of LloydsPharmacy, Jan Pietr Hallema has said.

“This new more resilient pharmacy network combines the strengths of both brands allowing us to enhance our services and continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
