Two new dual-branded hotels featuring over 200 rooms are set to open in Cork next month.

The new properties, the Moxy and Residence Inn by Marriott, announced they will open their doors to guests in mid-September, subject to fire and safety inspections.

Situated on Camden Quay in the city centre, the Moxy and Residence Inn properties will feature smart technology, onsite amenities, and communal spaces.

The Moxy will feature 153 rooms, round-the-clock food and beverages, and an on-site cocktail bar that doubles as a check-in desk.

The Residence Inn will offer 53 suites, each with fully equipped kitchens and separate living space.

It will also have working and sleeping zones, as well as a complementary breakfast service, a grocery delivery service, and access to a modern fitness centre.

A spokesperson for the hotels said that both properties are committed to using sustainable practices, integrating eco-friendly initiatives such as energy-efficient lighting, water-saving fixtures, and locally sourced materials.

The projects were delivered in the city by the British hospitality group JMK.

JMK Group director Sonia Kajani said: “Our goal is to offer a unique blend of stylish comfort and playful experiences that resonate with both short-term and extended-stay guests.

“Cork’s dynamic spirit aligns perfectly with our vision, and we look forward to welcoming travellers from around the world,” said the director of the hotels’ group.
