A supporter received treatment at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday evening after they were injured during the pitch invasion at the Cork v Limerick Munster Senior Hurling Championship game. 

Munster GAA confirmed to The Echo that the supporter received treatment on the grounds and that a senior steward liased with the supporter following the incident. 

In a statement, a spokesperson said: "Munster GAA can confirm that a supporter was injured during the pitch invasion at the Cork Limerick Munster Senior Hurling Championship game on Saturday evening last. 

"The supporter was treated at the ground by St. John's ambulance personnel and was discharged by them at the venue. 

"A senior steward liaised with the supporter at the ground following the incident."

The spokesperson said that Munster GAA will continue to ask supporters to not enter the field of play after games. 

"Pitch invasions like happened on Saturday evening pose a health and safety risk to patrons and to players," they added. 

Cork County Board declined to comment.
