The winning ticket was purchased at the Friars Road Post Office in Turners Cross on December 23.

The National Lottery is appealing to Cork people to check their tickets, as a prize worth €100,000 remains unclaimed following the New Year’s Eve draw.

The winning ticket was purchased on Saturday, December, 23 at Friars Road Post Office in Turners Cross, and the winning ticket number was 406294.

As ticket holders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prizes, the last date to claim this astonishing amount is close of business on Saturday, March 30.

The Millionaire Raffle draw saw a Dublin player win €1 million on New Year’s Eve while players in Clare, Cork, Donegal, Kildare, Louth and Meath won €100,000 each.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We are eager to hear from the Cork Millionaire Raffle player who won €100,000 on New Year’s Eve.

“While six players scooped €100,000 in the draw, the Cork player is the only one who is yet to come forward. The winning ticket could have been a Christmas present or it could be sitting at the end of an old handbag, so it’s important to get searching.

“With just under four weeks to go until the claim deadline of March 30, we are urging all of our players who may have purchased a ticket at the Friars Road Post Office in Turners Cross to carefully check their tickets for the winning raffle number.”

They advised the Cork winner to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe, and make contact with their prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie.
