Fire crews and emergency services are currently dealing with multiple incidents in Cork city centre.

It is understood that five city centre premises have been affected and all were evacuated.

The Echo understands the incidents were arson attacks on retail units.

Crews have been stood down at four of the premises but the area around one of the premises on Half Moon Street remains cordoned off.
