Woman admitted to stealing cosmetics from Cork city centre store

A 25-year-old woman stole €67 worth of cosmetics just before Christmas and she admitted the crime at Cork District Court.
Hilary Alekasandrova, who recently secured fulltime accommodation with Cork Simon Community admitted that on December 21, 2013 she stole the property from Penney’s on St. Patrick’s Street.
Frank Buttimer, solicitor, said the accused was now doing much better and that her homelessness had been addressed by recently getting a fulltime bed with Simon.
She had several previous theft convictions.
Judge Mary Dorgan said she would adjourn sentencing until May 20 to verify that she is remaining crime-free.
