Pet Shop Boys reschedule Cork gig
Pet Shop Boys will play the Marquee in Cork this summer.

PET Shop Boys have announced a gig at Live at the Marquee this summer has been rescheduled for next year.

The synth-pop duo, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, were due to travel to Leeside and take to the stage at the tented venue as part of their Dreamworld: Greatest Hits Tour on June 9. They will now play on June 23, 2021 at the same venue.

It was announced last week that the Marquee series will return to the docklands site in 2021 after an agreement was reached with developers who plan to build housing on the site.

A number of gigs have been postponed and some rescheduled.

The Cork gig was due to be the only Irish date that the duo would play in 2020.

Pet Shop Boys have sold more than 100 million records worldwide since signing to Parlophone Records in 1985.

They have released 14 studio albums, all of which have made the UK Top 10.

Their latest release Hotspot charted at number 3 in the UK, Germany and Spain after its release in January of this year.
