Aidan O’Callaghan, who hails from Innishannon and attended Hamilton High School in Bandon, has joined the cast of Coronation Street.

Cork actor Aidan O’Callaghan, who hails from Innishannon and attended Hamilton High School in Bandon, has joined the cast of Coronation Street.

This achievement makes him the first Irish actor to appear in all three major UK soaps - Coronation Street, EastEnders, and Emmerdale. He previously made history as the first and only Irish actor to appear in both Emmerdale and EastEnders.

Aidan's growing career also includes roles in international productions such as Netflix’s The Witcher: Blood Origin, Starz’s The Rook, and Sky’s Wolfe.

Recently back from Chicago film festival, he earned acclaim for his work opposite acclaimed Irish actress Olwen Fouéré in the award-winning Irish feature film The Reckoning of Erin Morrigan.
