Latest: Cork City Fire Service use aerial platform as they continue to battle house fire

LATEST: Cork City Fire Brigade continue to battle a well-developed house fire in Ballicollig.
"Aerial Ladder Platform now also in use as building has been deemed too dangerous for crews to enter," the service reported shortly after 10pm.
They were called to the incident more than two hours earlier.
EARLIER: Four units of the Cork City Fire Brigade are attending a blazing house fire in Ballincollig this evening.

The emergency services received the call around 7.45pm about the fire at a house near Heathfield Estate.
It is believed the house is derelict and there is no one in the building.

Crews from Anglesea Street and Ballincollig are attending what is being described as a “well-developed house fire” in the city suburb.
The firefighters used a compressed Air Foam System and three 70mm jets to prevent blaze reaching an adjacent oil tank.
