Roads re-open following fire at premises in East Cork

Cork County Fire Service has advised that roads in the area around the IDA Industrial Estate in Carrigtwohill fully reopened last night following an incident in the area.

Fire crews from Midleton, Cobh and the Cork City Fire Service attended a chemical fire at the industrial estate yesterday evening.

Just after 11pm last night, Cork County Fire Service confirmed that the fire has been “successfully dealt with" and roads in the area were fully re-opened. 

In a post on social media, the fire service said that An Garda Síochána has provided “great assistance” as crews dealt with the “complex incident.’
