TV: Mayfield singer hunts new home in the sun

A Cork city woman looking to buy a property in Spain features in the next episode of Cheap European Homes on RTÉ1 on Sunday at 6.30pm.

Áine Carroll, 27, a singer from Mayfield, wants to live near her mum on the Costa Blanca, so Maggie Molloy and her team offer to help.

As a teen, Áine appeared on The Voice UK and since then she has continued performing while balancing a career in HR. Now, she is ready to pursue music full-time, as she searches for a move-in-ready home.

James Kavanagh encourages Áine to look beyond the familiar holiday hotspots, and takes her up in a hot air balloon to see the region from a new perspective, while introducing her to the local music scene, where she lands her first gig and begins to imagine a future in Spain.

Áine’s best friend Jerry Horgan accompanies her on the trip.
