Tracey and Keith first met when they were just 16 in the summer of 2008.

Tracey Brady and Keith Sorensen met in the summer of 2008, when they were just 16. Those months were spent hanging around together with their pals near Gurranabraher church and Churchfield Park.

Love blossomed when a mutual friend asked ‘why don’t ye meet each other,’ and the rest, as they say, is history.

Tracey and Keith got engaged at the Killarney Plaza Hotel in December, 2021, and today they live with their six-year-old daughter, Nell, in Tower.

The couple were wed at the Church of the Resurrection, Farranree, on August 22.

They were joined by their daughter Nell; Tracey’s parents, Pat and Claire Brady; Keith’s parents, Margaret and Jim Sorensen; Keith’s brother Adam; Tracey’s sister Niamh; nieces Hayley and Avery; nephews Ollie and Oscar; close friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and their bridal party.

“We also had groomsman Stephen O’Connell travel from Darwin, Australia, and our old friend John Carmody travel from Perth, Australia to be with us on our special day. We will be forever grateful,” the couple said.

Nell played an important role on the day.

“Fr Sean really involved our daughter Nell in the ceremony to ensure she felt as important as she is to us. She blessed the rings with Fr Sean and handed them to us,” said Tracey and Keith.

The bride sourced her Rosa Clara gown from Diamond Bridal on Maylor Street. Make-up and hair were by Sarah Cummins and Hair by Kim respectively. The Marc Doyle suits were from Suits.ie/Ray Nugent.

After the ceremony, the couple held a reception for their guests at the Talbot Hotel in Ballincollig, stopping en route at Blarney Castle for pictures. Their car was from Mercier Vintage Vehicles.

The couple were full of praise for the team at the hotel. “Tanusha was an absolute pleasure to work with, and she really made the planning process stress-free. Everything was done with the utmost professionalism. The food at both the reception room and the main meal itself are still being talked about,” they said.

The wedding cake was made by Ruairi’s Cakes.

That evening, DJ Dean Ahern ensured the dance floor was kept busy. “On the bridal party entrance to the room, the roof nearly came off the building. Shout out to DJ Dean for putting on a stellar performance behind the decks and keeping the dance floor full all night,” the couple said. Their first dance was to Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.

Photos were by Ray Terry Photography, and Brian from Arclight was the videographer.
