TV sport round up-Gunners get the ball rolling on new season

Can Arsenal build on their success after being crowned Premier League champions in May? Or will new managers at Liverpool, Chelsea, and the Manchester giants propel those clubs to glory?

All those questions, and plenty more besides, will be answered in the next nine months as a new Premier League season dawns.

Arsenal get the ball rolling at home to promoted Coventry City on Friday and it’s live on Sky at 8pm.

Then promoted Hull City v Manchester United is on TNT Sports on Saturday at 12.30pm, followed by Nottingham Forest v Leeds United on Premier Sports at 3pm. The London derby between Brentford and Tottenham is on Sky that day at 5.30pm.

The channel then has three live matches on Sunday - Brighton v Aston Villa, and Manchester City v Bournemouth at 2pm, followed by Newcastle United v Liverpool at 4.30pm.

The live fixtures conclude with the first Monday night action of the season, another London derby, between Fulham and Chelsea on Sky at 8pm.

On Wednesday, there is live coverage of a Champions League second leg play-off game on RTÉ2 at 8pm.

On the golf front, follow the action from the KPMG Women’s Irish Open at The K Club on RTÉ2 on Thursday at 2pm.
