Weekend sport: Rebel hurlers lead feast of TV sport

The defeat of Limerick by Dublin has left the Rebels odds-on with bookies to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup, and today Cork will hopefully take a giant stride towards ending two decades of hurt.
Their All-Ireland semi-final against the Dubs at Croke Park is live on RTÉ2 today at 5pm, with the second semi between Kilkenny and Tipperary on RTÉ2 and BBC tomorrow at 4pm. Both games form double headers with Senior All-Ireland Camogie Championship quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, the All-Ireland Ladies’ Football quarter-finals take place this weekend, with three matches today and one tomorrow - all live on TG4.
Cork’s trip to Dublin is at 1.15pm today, with Galway v Waterford at 3.15pm. Kerry v Kildare is at 7.30pm today, and Meath v Tipperary is at 5.15pm tomorrow.
A packed weekend of sport also sees the start of the Tour de France today, with every stage shown live on TG4.
Fan favourites Páidí Ó Lionáird and Pádraic Ó Cuinn will again guide viewers through the twists and turns, climbs and sprints of the peloton as it tackles the French countryside, cities, coastlines, and alpine peaks.
Plus, it may not have captured the public imagination a great deal, but the soccer FIFA Club World Cup is down to the nitty-gritty with the last two quarter-finals today at 5pm and 9pm. All games are live on DAZN.
The ladies’ Euro 2025 tournament continues on RTÉ2, with Wales v Netherland today at 5pm, and France v England at 8pm.
Also, it’s the middle week of the Wimbledon tennis championships, with action resuming on BBC1 at 12.20pm today.
