Skechers are more than just footwear; they are a community built around comfort.
That community is evident with the continuation of partnership with Skechers and UCC Demons for their new season, continuing a long-standing relationship with one of Ireland’s most exciting basketball teams.
The partnership highlights Skechers’ ongoing commitment to supporting local sport and community engagement throughout Ireland.
Rebecca Quinlan, senior marketing executive for Skechers Ireland, said: “Supporting local sport has always been a core part of what we do at Skechers Ireland. The energy and dedication within communities like the UCC Demons inspire us, and we’re proud to stand behind them this season.
"With the launch of our Skechers basketball footwear range, this partnership feels like the perfect match, bringing performance, passion, and local pride together on and off the court.”
Michael O’Leary, chairman of the UCC Demons, said: “We are delighted and thrilled that Skechers have decided to partner with the team. Skechers obviously is an international brand, so any time the club can attract an international brand to be a sponsor is fantastic.”

Several UCC Demons players recently visited the newly refurbished Skechers store in Wilton Shopping Centre, which showcases a fantastic range of footwear, apparel, and accessories for all the family, including the recently launched basketball footwear range, now available in Skechers stores nationwide.
The Skechers basketball styles feature advanced athletic technologies, including superior cushioning for comfort and performance, breathable mesh uppers for ventilation, and durable, high-quality materials designed for intense play.
Speaking on the new range, Rebecca said: “Originally, Skechers started with a performance range but in the last couple of years we've focused on a lot of different sports including basketball.”
On the UCC Demons' visit to Skechers in Wilton Shopping Centre to see the range, Rebecca said: “So two players visited Wilton and were very pleasantly surprised by how great the range was. There was a pink pair that we have in particular that they really loved.
"It was great to get that feedback from them as they're professionals, and this is what they live and breathe. The fact that they were able to get into the store and see the boots, try them on and feel them for themselves was great.”

Cork-based company, ShuzGroup, is celebrating 15 years of Skechers stores in Ireland, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s presence and growth across the country.
Rebecca said: “We've gone from strength to strength over the years. You know, we've got 24 stores nationwide now, and you can definitely see that respect for the brand. We have fantastic ranges of kids' and adult shoes, and the collection that has blown up for us in the last few years has been our Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins® range
“The shoes have a built-in shoehorn, so there's no bending, no touching, and it's easy to get in and out of your shoes. That's been a big focus for us now for the last couple of years. And we also have fantastic brand ambassadors as well, such as Jamie Redknapp and Myleene Klass who help promote the brand also.”
As well as Skechers UCC Demons are also celebrating a major milestone of 60 years.
On this achievement, Michael said: “I would say it's the ultimate family club. There's multigenerational people running the club over the course of a year. It's been a hugely success since the introduction of American Players in the 1980s and now we're playing in the top level and probably one of the most successful clubs in the country and people come from all over the city now to see us. It is fantastic.”
