How will digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) shape our future?

That is the question tackled in the next episode of science series 10 Things To Know About on RTÉ1 on Monday at 8.30pm

At Ardnacrusha in Clare, Ireland’s nearly 100-year-old power plant, we find out how historical technological advances could help inform today’s society on challenges and opportunities.

The team also reveal efforts to assist and empower older adults as they navigate technology safely and confidently, and explain how a new supercomputer could be a game-changer for Irish weather forecasting.

Plus, we meet some of the children who are among the first in Europe to use exciting exoskeleton technology that will allow them to walk for the first time.

Among those interviewed is Michael Aldous, a business historian at Queen’s University Belfast with an interest in understanding how the ownership, organisation, and leadership of firms affect the performance of firms.

Meanwhile in the Curious Chronicles segment, Fergus McAuliffe turns the spotlight on the intriguing origins of robots.
