Bank of Ireland to host business, community expo at Douglas centre

NEXT Friday night Bank of Ireland, Douglas, will be running a Business and Community Expo at Douglas Village Shopping Centre from 5 to 8pm.

It promises to be an entertaining evening for all the family, with fun events like face painting, goodie bags and much much more, with mnire than 70 business on display.

It kicks off at 5pm with violinist Lotta Virkkunen there to entertain all present.

She will be followed by the opening ceremony, conducted by Aisling Killilea, Manager, Bank Of Ireland, Douglas, along with Finbarr Hurley, Principal, St Columba’s Boys NS.

For the fashionistas amongst you there is a Junk Kouture Fashion Competition, judged by Helen Quealy Murphy (Daily Diva Diary), followed by an actual fashion show, hosted by Lockdown Models.

Douglas Gymnastics Club will give a display at 6pm, followed by a karate display, by Rising Sun Karate Club, at 6.20pm.

Aisling will them make a presentation of 1,000 to St Columba’s BNS as part of their fund-raising for their new school premises.

Alan Shortt will host Bizworld at 6.40pm and the entertainment doesn’t stop there.

This will be followed by a dance display from Nicky’s Dance Studio and at 7.20pm the Douglas Enterprise Sports Star Award will be presented by a special guest.

This will be followed by musical entertainment before Aisling Killilea brings the evening to a close at 8pm approx.
