GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP

To make sure that you get the best out of yourself, make sure to get a good night sleep the night before, get to bed in plenty of time so that you can relax your body and mind and get a great sleep in.

FUEL YOURSELF

A good breakfast is so important, plenty of protein and slow release carbohydrates, so a bowl of porridge and maybe some scrambled eggs will fill you up with all the right energy.

STAY HYDRATED

Make sure to stay hydrated but don’t drink a bottle of water just before you head out or you may end up needing a rest-room break en route! Try and consistently take on water during the day so that you don’t overload your system.

DON’T FORGET TO BRING...

Once you are ready to roll, make sure you have your watch charged and ready to record, wear comfortable shoes and socks and the most important thing — have fun!

HOW TO TAKE PART...

The event ‘6K Your Way’ is free to register, on  https://theechominimarathon.ie

We are encouraging people to do the 6K on September 20, adhering to all government guidelines. Upload your results on the website and download a certificate of completion. You also have the option of paying for a race number and a medal.
