This dress, left, I bought in United Colours of Benetton as a birthday gift to myself this summer. I purchased my velvet kitten heel mules from L. K Bennett last Christmas. The whole look is topped off with my timeless pearl necklace and earrings.
I last wore this dress on a bike ride during a beautiful Sunday afternoon, along the way we made an ice-cream pit stop in the park and made the most of the summer sun!
I love the 1950s housewife style of this look. This dress is pure perfection to me in every way, from the cinched waist and flowing skirt to the bold double collar and statement print, what’s not to love?!
I love the pointed toe of my shoe as I feel it elongates my petite frame. Overall this look gives me such Mad Men Betty Draper vibes!
My checked trousers, above, are from H&M. I bought my classic white shirt from Tommy Hilfiger, in my opinion they’re the best for comfortable shirts that last the test of time! My platform fashion trainers are from Cinders Shoe Heaven.
I was gifted my beautiful heart chain from a childhood friend. Last, but definitely not least, my wide brim hat was bought from a charming corner shop in Paris when I was 16 and is still a staple in my wardrobe to this day!
This look is a classic one for me and the style would be my go-to for running day to day errands. Comfortable, chic, timeless.
I love that this outfit is one that never dates. Trend after trend from one era to the next, a white shirt and tailored style pants look will always be fashionable. Also, these trousers are the most comfortable pants I have ever owned. As a girl who doesn’t wear athletic attire, these feel like pyjamas for the day time! I’m obsessed!
My plaid skirt, right, is an older purchase from Zara. I bought my black turtleneck from Dunnes Stores, I stock up on these sweaters around this time every year and always buy them in basic colours such as black, cream and tan. Turtlenecks are my winter wardrobe staple and perfect for layering. My patent red heels are Anne Klein.
I wore this to a show in the theatre just before lockdown and it feels like an age ago!
Everything about this look just screams elegance to me. Whilst I am all for the empowerment and equality of women, sometimes I fear somewhere along the road of feminism we lost our femininity, and for me this outfit is it. One of my style inspirations is Audrey Hepburn. Her ladylike and polished look is what I aspire to recreate when making my own fashion choices.
My favourite thing about this outfit, even though some say my style is ‘old fashioned’ for my 22 years young, is that when I walk down the street I am unapologetically me in every way and I know I won’t bump into someone in the same outfit! The look can take you from day to night and casual to fancy.
