Concerns are being raised over the colour of some Flakes for 99s, which may lead to a summer shortage.

Several ice cream van owners have complained to Cadbury that some of the beloved delicacies have a white tinge, making them look unappealing.

The colour is believed to have been caused by improper storage of the Flakes during the recent warm weather.

One Mr Whippy vendor was told to return them to the wholesaler, and says he now fears a summer shortage, according to the Irish Sun.

Cadbury's told the paper that it is reviewing what happened.
