Gardaí appeal for witnesses after shots fired at house in Co Laois

Gardaí in Co Laois have issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward after shots were fired at a house in Portlaoise.
The incident occurred at Old Knockmay Road, Portlaoise, at around 1.30 am on Sunday.
It is understood a number of bullets struck a house and a car during the incident.
In a statement, gardaí said they are “investigating following reports of an alleged discharge of a firearm at a location in Portlaoise, Co. Laois in the early hours of Sunday”.
No injuries have been reported.
Garda enquiries are ongoing.
