Yveta Donovalova, 43, who was originally from Czechia, was found by gardaí and emergency services following a serious assault at her home in Grange Heights at around 6:15pm last Monday.

She was rushed to University Hospital Waterford (UHW) where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Donovalova’s funeral is to be held on Saturday.

She is survived by her husband Robert, children, Nel, Toby and Dominik, mother Sonya, father Radek, brothers David and Radek, sisters Eve and Anet, nephews Peter and Michael, nieces Lily, Sofie and Natalie, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her funeral notice details that her remains will repose at Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack St, Waterford, on Saturday from 1pm to 3pm with vigil prayers and Rosary at 2pm.

A private cremation will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that donations be made to Oasis House Women’s Refuge.

The refuge provides safe supported accommodation and a service sensitive to the needs of Women and Women with their children experiencing Domestic Violence and Homelessness.

A mourner on rip.ie offered their sincere and heartfelt sympathies to her family. They described Donovalova as being “part of the community of Grange Heights for so many years” and that it is “heartbreaking to think we will never again see that beautiful smile and the genuine warmth of her personality that we were so privileged to experience daily.”

A man has been charged with her murder as is due to re-appear before the courts next week.
