Electricity prices have risen by 21.9 per cent in a month as of November this year, according to new figures released by the CSO.

However, they are nearly 70 per cent lower than their peak in August 2022.

They are also 16 per cent lower than in November 2024.

Food prices have risen 3 per cent year-on-year, while they have fallen marginally by 0.1 per cent between October and November.

Dairy products have risen the most year-on-year, by 11.1 per cent, while meat and meat products have risen by 6.7 per cent. Fish and fish products have risen by 5.1 per cent.

Vegetable and animal oils and fats have seen a decrease year-on-year, however, falling by 16.2 per cent.

Chemicals and chemical products increased by 30.8 per cent year-on-year. Beverages, however, fell by 5.1 per cent.

Wholesale prices for construction products also increased by 0.1 per cent in the month to November 2025 and 1.0 per cent in the 12 months since November 2024.
