Gardaí have issued an appeal on Thursday for witnesses and video footage to a hit-and-run in which a car allegedly struck a cyclist at a pedestrian crossing in Limerick.

Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred on the Kilmurry Roundabout, Castletroy, Co Limerick on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at approximately 10pm.

Gardaí said that “the collision involved a car and a cyclist", and  "the driver of the car failed to remain at scene”.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and investigations are ongoing.

In a separate statement, Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran said the car involved was “a red car”.

“It’s a very busy area with a high volume of both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, so we believe there are potential witnesses who may have seen the collision or have relevant information,” she said.

“We are particularly interested in speaking with any motorists who may have dash-cam footage from that time.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212400.
