Some showers will be heavy with isolated thunderstorms possible.

Tuesday will bring sunny spells and showers to some parts. The showers will be hit and miss, but some may be heavy and possibly thundery. Highest temperature of 17 to 21 degrees in light southerly or variable breezes.

Wednesday will also bring warm sunshine and showers to parts, with the potential for heavy or thundery downpours where they occur. Highest temperatures 19 to 23 degrees generally, a little cooler in the northern coastal fringes all in light to moderate northerly breezes.

Thursday should be mainly dry with some sunshine, though cloud may increase from the Atlantic bringing a little patchy rain or drizzle. It will be a little cooler with temperatures in the mid to high teens.

Met Éireann said going into next weekend there is still a bit of uncertainty. Atlantic westerlies do look set to return bringing changeable conditions and a gradual return to seasonal temperatures.
