The founder of Her Sport has said she does not believe the decision to postpone Saturday's Munster Senior Camogie final is in the best interest of the players.

On Friday evening, the Munster Council made the decision to postpone today's game between Cork and Waterford after both teams confirmed they would wear shorts instead of skorts for the fixture.

The Camogie Association is due to hold a Special Congress later this month to consider motions aimed at resolving the current controversy around playing attire.

Niamh Tallon told Newstalk that the postponement could have repercussions.

"In relation to the congress that’s due to happen on the 22nd of May, so are they going to be waiting to reschedule the final until after the congress happens?

"At that stage it will be then, you know, just getting ready to start the group stages of the All Ireland Camogie Championships as well, so I don’t know how that has the teams and the players’ best interests at heart," Ms Tallon said.
