Gardaí in DMR North arrested a woman and seized approximately €125,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis (pending analysis) in the early hours of Monday morning.

At approximately 12:30am, gardaí on patrol in Swords stopped a vehicle following ANPR alert for no tax or insurance. The driver, a woman in her 30s, was discovered to be disqualified and arrested by gardaí.

Following a search, approximately €70,000 of suspected cocaine was discovered concealed in the vehicle.

In a subsequent search under warrant of a residential property in the Swords area, gardaí discovered approximately €55,000 of suspected cannabis herb.

The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

The arrested woman is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda station in the DMR North.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
