Two guns and over 1,500 rounds of ammunition were seized during the search of a home in Meath on Wednesday.

A 9mm CZ handgun and an improvised handgun were recovered.

The ammunition is in various different formats, including 9mm bullets and shotgun cartridges.

A man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the operation, and the guns will be sent for ballistic analysis.
