Young man dies in hospital three days after road crash in Co Galway

A man has died following a serious road crash in Co Galway last week.

Gardaí are investigating after a car was involved in a single-vehicle collision on the R360 at Ballintava in the early hours of Friday morning.

Two men, both in their 20s, were taken to University Hospital Galway for treatment following the incident.

The driver has since died after being seriously injured.

The passenger was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
