Chris Appleton ‘can’t wait to get started’ after joining Strictly Come Dancing

Chris Appleton has been announced as the latest celebrity to be joining Strictly Come Dancing 2026.

The hair stylist – who is best known for working with stars including Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez – said he was counting down to appearing in the BBC series.

He said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Strictly Come Dancing and coming home to the UK for this incredible experience.

“I’ve always believed that the best things happen when you take a chance and try something new.

“I may know my way around a salon floor but the dance floor is a whole different story – and I can’t wait to get started.”

Appleton’s other celebrity clients include Sofía Vergara, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry.

He has previously been named a “Hair Star” by Vogue UK and his work has been showcased on covers and in major features for publications including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, Grazia, L’Officiel Paris, and more.

The hair stylist also recently made the New York Times Best Sellers list for his memoir Your Roots Don’t Define You.

He joins the line-up alongside actress Lacey Turner, reality star Dani Dyer and singer Delta Goodrem, with more names to be announced over the coming months.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to screens later this year.
