Model and actress Cara Delevingne has said she is facing her “biggest fear” by releasing her own music.

Announcing the “first peek” at her material on Instagram, the Carnival Row actress said music was her “greatest love”.

In a series of posts she introduced fans to two of her songs, which she said were called I Forgot and Out Of My Head.

“Music,” she wrote. “It’s forever been my biggest fear and my greatest love.

“I Forgot and Out of my Head are the first peek inside my stream of consciousness over the last few years.

“I cannot quite believe we are finally here.”

Delevingne’s celebrity friends showed their support by commenting on the posts, including pop singer Katy Perry who wrote: “OMFG” and “Wait I love this”.

Actress Jaime Winstone wrote: “I am so bloody excited for you, blown away by your talent, love you so much, can’t wait for the world to hear your magic consciousness.”

Singer Rita Ora posted a series of heart emojis, while her sister, model Poppy Delevingne and model-turned-musician Suki Waterhouse left fire emojis.

Delevingne, who has more than 39 million Instagram followers, appears to have deleted her previous posts, with just the most recent handful relating to her music remaining on her account.

She has had roles in films including Suicide Squad and Tulip Fever, and previously sung on songs by other artists such as Pharrell Williams and St Vincent.

Delevingne also appears on the line up for Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona in June.
