The school first opened its doors to second-level students on 1 September 1996 and, having originally been built to accommodate 460 students, has since grown to a thriving school community of almost 1,500 students.

Kinsale Arts Weekend chairwoman Anna Mulcahy said reaching the 10th anniversary year is “a moment of profound reflection”.

 The popular Kinsale literary festival will feature a host of Irish writers and social commentators.
