Speaking at the rally Senator Francis Black called on the Irish Government to "take meaningful action to stand up for the principles of global solidarity, human rights, and international law".

The 24th weekly protest also marked International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, withspeakers from the Democratic Republic of Congo and members of the Cork Traveller Visibility Group addressing the rally

The IFA said it will continue highlighting farmers' frustration and anger with the political system over the next month by targeting County Council meetings around the country.

The drivers will join colleagues in Dublin, the UK and the US in the protest with low pay a key issue for them
