The Komodo Heart, Cork Arts Theatre, €18, 8pm: This hour-long dark satire, featuring veteran actors Martina Carroll, Charlie Ruxton and Roger Gregg, is a bold, imaginative production which grapples with the very real monsters rampaging through the self-delusions, abuses and torments of damaged men. 18+, as there are adult themes and strong language.

Marybeth and The Soul Clinic, Crane Lane Theatre, 9pm: Fronted by vocalist Marybeth O’Mahony. The Soul Clinic is a four-piece band that will take you back to the ’60s/’70s soul era. Covering the classics of Aretha, Al Green, Ottis Redding, Etta James and newer soul artists such as Alabama Shakes, and Amy Winehouse.
Rory McCarthy and Hugh Dillon: Triskel Lunchtime Jazz Series 2026, Triskel Arts Centre, €18, 1pm: Original compositions and jazz-infused contemporary pieces by Cork men Rory McCarthy & Hugh Dillon, featuring Davie Ryan on Drums and Mikey O’Connell on Bass.
Mercury Rev, Cyprus Avenue, €35, 7pm: Since forming in 1989 in New York, indie rockers Mercury Rev have made a career of boldly exploring the fringes of artistic perception.
The Frank And Walters – Acoustic, Sea Church, Ballycotton, €35, 8pm: Singer / songwriter Paul Linehan is out on the road for a series of intimate acoustic gigs.

Iryna Harty Exhibition, Ballymaloe Grainstore, free, 9am-5pm: Final day of a month-long exhibition of paintings by Iryna. Inspired by the landscape that fuels so much of the artist’s life and work, it invites visitors to slow down and spend time with each piece.
