Misterman, Cork Arts Theatre, 8pm: Thomas is on a journey. Where did it begin? What voices does he hear? And what will they tell him to do? Inishfree might seem like a quaint Irish town, but fierce evangelist Thomas Magill knows better. In the first Cork production of Misterman in 25 years, ALSA Productions and James De Burca unite in this dark, dangerous and blisteringly funny tale. Tickets €20.

Cork Fleischmann Symphony Orchestra with The Fidelio Trio, Cork City Hall, 7.30pm: An unforgettable evening of music, as the orchestra returns with a thrilling programme. With soaring melodies, dynamic contrasts, and powerful performances, this concert promises to be a highlight of the musical year. Tickets €11.70.

Lisa O’Neill at Quiet Lights, Live at St Luke’s, 8pm: It’s been a remarkable few years for the Cavan songwriter, who returns to Cork to play at the Quiet Lights festival. O’Neill is a five-time BBC Folk Award nominee. Tickets €38.62.

The Oars, The White Horse, 8.30pm: Infectious rhythms and magnetic musical chemistry are a hallmark of this cracking new duo, featuring Eoin Coughlan and Brian Morrissey. Tickets €22.

CORK Techno Cage Rave – HOTBOXX, The Pav, 10pm: Up for some ‘brutal hard techno’? DJs GØNA and CXRE are! Tickets €9.70.

Laurie Shaw, Maureen’s, 2pm: Laurie was born on The Wirral but is now based in Cork city. He has recorded over 120 albums of bedroom pop, songs of rural abandon in small towns. Tickets €17.

Jazz at Sonflour, Castle Street, 7.30pm: The fourth edition of this monthly series, presenting the best of Irish jazz. Tickets €11.70.

Múm at Quiet Lights, St Luke’s, 8pm: Múm are an Icelandic indie-tronica band, here as part of Quiet Lights ’25. Tickets €31.
