Tom Crean, Antarctic Explorer, Everyman, 8pm, €39, students €16: Aidan Dooley in a striking one-man performance: Nobody conveys the sense of adventure, of challenge, and above all of the character of this great explorer. The final performance is a matinee on Sunday at 1pm.

Music Madness, Cork Arts Theatre, 7pm, €22: The last performance of CADA’s lively show, which features soloists, harmonies, colourful costumes, and dazzling performances from these so-talented young artists.

Key For Two, Glen Theatre, Banteer: Comedy from the theatre’s drama group. A canny divorcee solves her financial problems by dating two married gentlemen on different days of the week. Now what could possibly go wrong? Tickets on 029 56239. Final performance on Sunday.

Ortús Chamber Music Festival Baroque Concert, Inkwell Theatre, Tracton Arts And Community Centre, Minane Bridge, 2pm, €20 (€15 students) : An afternoon concert of Baroque music with Sergio Bucheli on lute and Dublin-born Miriam Kaczor on Baroque flute, featuring works by Bach, Monteverdi, O’Carolan and more.

Huey Morgan – The Fun Lovin’ Criminal, De Barra’s, Clonakilty, 8pm, €32.50: The American best known as the frontman of hip-hop band Fun Lovin’ Criminals performs live.

Endup Presents: Prosumer, The Pavilion, Cork city, 10pm, €17.50: Prosumer, is a DJ/producer from Germany with a captivation for all things electronic.

Ortús Chamber Music Festival Closing Concert, MTU Cork School of Music, 3pm, €22.50 (€15 students): Finale of the festival featuring an array of Irish and international musicians, including Cork’s Mairéad Hickey on violin.

Sentimental Value (15a), 2pm & No Other Choice (15a), 4.30pm, Triskel Arts Centre, Cork city, €8: The first film is the latest from from acclaimed director Joachim Trier. The second movie is a dark and delicious satire from Park Chan-wook.
