I’m Okay, You’re Okay

Cork-based Sample-Studios artist Riki Matsuda presents a trio of public artworks that run throughout the festival fortnight, focused on communication and community, including letters stashed around the city, unorthodox public signage, and a film screening at PLUGD Records across this weekend.

Up Cycling!

  • ongoing, Cork city centre

An ambitious new trail of temporary public artworks that will run across Cork city, showcasing the importance and joy of cycling in urban spaces. Curated by Tadhg Crowley, the project is a collaboration between artist Chris Judge and Cork Cycling Campaign.

Wiff-Waff Is Playing at My Gaff

  • Thursday June 14-Sunday July 7

Play artist-made Krazy Tables from the National Novelty Ping Pong Table Collection, installed as an interactive exhibition in Crawford Art Gallery, the fever-dream of curator Davey Moor - wiff-waff being an old name for table tennis!

Kamchàtka Street Theatre

  • Sunday June 16, Patrick Street, 2pm

Seven characters lost in the city, each carrying their own suitcase. Are they simply passers-by, or immigrants to this city? Naïve but curious and wearing their hearts on their sleeves, they interact with passing citizens to interrupt and disrupt what we may otherwise take for granted.

Cork Midsummer Parade

  • Sunday June 16, Oliver Plunkett Street, 3pm

Come and join The Family Shenanigan, an eccentric troupe of more than 150 makers and performers from Cork Community Artlink and beyond, and rejoice in their spectacular antics, weird contraptions, dazzling floats and stunning costumes in a unique Cork celebration of Midsummer for all.
