The McCarthy Insurance Group Premier JFC reaches its conclusion on Sunday afternoon when Canovee and Cobh battle for county honours at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh (2pm).

Both sides have impressed on their way to the decider and will see Sunday's showdown as a golden opportunity to secure silverware.

Two years ago, Canovee fell short against neighbours Kilmurry in the county decider. They have channelled it into another strong championship run and now find themselves back on the biggest stage at this level with a chance to make amends.

Having experienced the pressure and occasion of a county final, Canovee will hope that experience proves invaluable this time around.

Several players have been central to their progress. Jack Kelleher has regularly contributed scores, while Daire McMahon has been a driving force with his athleticism and work rate. Brothers Conor and Evan Dodd have also played pivotal roles throughout the campaign, providing leadership and consistency.

The influence of Eoghan Lehane and Patrick Buckley has also been significant, with both producing a series of important performances as Canovee negotiated another difficult route to the county final.

Standing in their way is a Cobh side that has steadily built momentum throughout the championship. They have demonstrated impressive resilience and attacking quality on their path to the final and will take confidence from the manner in which they have handled every challenge thrown their way this season.

Among their standout performers has been Timmy Wilk, whose influence has been felt in several key encounters. Adam Lynch has also been an important attacking outlet, while Evan Cummins and Conor McLoughlin have played leading roles in helping the club reach Sunday's showpiece.

County finals are often decided by the finest of margins and Sunday's encounter looks no different. Midfield battles, discipline and taking chances when they present themselves are likely to prove decisive.
