Cork v Offaly: Rebels name team for All-Ireland quarter-final

Alan Walsh will make his first championship start as one of four changes to the Cork team for Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC quarter-final against Offaly at FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles (3.30pm).
The Kanturk man, who appeared off the bench in the opening two Munster SHC round-robin game against Tipperary and Limerick, is picked alongside Alan Connolly and Brian Hayes in the full-forward line with William Buckley among the substitutes.
With midfielders Tommy O’Connell and Tim O’Mahony ruled out with a broken thumb and dead leg respectively, captain Darragh Fitzgibbon returns following his appendicitis – he is partnered by Brian Roche, who comes in for his first championship start since the 2025 round-robin victory over Waterford.
The other change sees Hugh O’Connor named in the half-forward line, taking the place of Barry Walsh, who is a sub.
