Douglas Hall advanced to the semi-final of the FAI U17 Cup after another convincing victory against Leeside United in their clash at Little Island.

The Hall were red-hot favourites coming into this cup tie against their U17 League 1 counterparts and the Premier side remain unbeaten in all competitions.

The Hall led at half-time courtesy of goals from their captain Darragh O’Flaherty, in the 27th minute, and an Elvis Alade effort four minutes later.

They increased their lead three minutes from the restart with a strike from Jamie O’Halloran and Macdarragh Lynch, Shane Barrett and Mark O’Keeffe all added goals to win 6-0.

Elsewhere in the Daly Industrial Supplies U19 League 1, Carrigaline United travelled to Tramore Park to play the hosts and came away with an impressive 4-1 victory.

Carrigaline went in front in the 22nd minute after an own goal and Adam Murphy added a second goal in the 44th minute to give Carrig a 2-0 lead.

Oscar Doherty pulled a goal back for the home side but further strikes from Rian Lennon and Adam Leonard gave Carrig all three points that see them join Clonakilty and Riverstown at the top of the table on 22 points.

There were three very exciting U17 Teddy Healy Cup ties also on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds' Premier side were pushed all the way by their second team at Leeds Park.

Jonathon O’Reagan gave Leeds League 2 side the lead in the 33rd minute but Rodrigo Cunha-Fernandes equalised on the stroke of half-time. Daniel Duhig gave the first team a 2-1 lead in the 55th minute, but O’Reagan levelled the game 2-2 in the 71st minute.

However, Aaron Crowley restored the first team’s advantage again two minutes later to ensure they advanced to the next round.

The College Corinthians and Carrigaline United cup tie was also a very entertaining game in an all Premier League clash at Ballea Park.

It was the home side that went in front 1-0 when Harry Sisk hit the back of the net in the 18th minute.

Corinthians levelled the game 1-1 through Diarmuid Kelly in the 56th minute and Eli Murphy-McKeon scored the winning goal in the 82nd minute to see them safely through to the next round.

Another Premier side, Kinsale, had to come from behind to eventually see off League 1 side Carrigaline United to see them into the next round of the competition at Ballea Park.

Adam Davis gave Carrigaline the lead 1-0 in the 10th minute but Kinsale’s Amir Al-Masri levelled the game 1-1 in the 24th minute.

Sean O’Driscoll gave the Premier side a 2-1 lead in the 80th minute and a late effort from Ollie Ahern gave them a 3-1 victory.
