Steven Sherlock has been included on the AIB Cub Football Team of the Year.

The Cork forward played a hugely influential role in helping St Finbarr’s reach the Munster SFC final where they were unlucky to lose out to Dingle.

The Kerry side went on to win the All-Ireland title, a small consolation to the Barrs who were beaten by Dingle in controversial fashion.

Sherlock was Player of the Match kicking 0-16 of his side’s tally including 0-12 in the first 30 minutes alone.

He landed six two-pointers, four coming from frees, over the course of the hour, as Dingle won 1-18 to 0-20.

It was no surprise that he finished as top scorer in the Munster SFC last season. He also topped the scoring charts in the McCarthy Insurance Group Premier SFC, as the Togher outfit won the Andy Scannell trophy.

The sharpshooter previously made the Team of the Year in 2022 after guiding the Barrs to Munster glory in January of that year.
