Cork County Board has announced a new long-term sustainable partnership with the Zeus Group.

Through this collaboration, Zeus will support SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh with a comprehensive sustainability programme focused on operational improvements across the stadium. Key initiatives include: the introduction of locally made recyclable cup systems; a full hygiene product upgrade; enhanced waste management solutions and omproved signage to support responsible waste segregation.

The partnership also incorporates innovative technology, including AI Smart Bin solutions to improve segregation and reduce contamination, alongside upgraded tunnel wall and pitch perimeter signage to reinforce sustainability messaging throughout the stadium environment.

This shared commitment aims to reduce environmental impact while maintaining a high-quality matchday experience for supporters. It also aligns with Zeus’ wider sustainability strategy, which prioritises locally sourced products, responsible product lifecycles and long-term environmental performance.

The sustainable partnership reinforces Zeus’ leadership in sustainable stadium transformation and highlights the importance of collaboration in delivering meaningful environmental progress across major public and community venues.

Zeus Group are currently Cork City FC’s shirt sponsors and one of Europe’s fastest-growing packaging companies, supplying sustainable packaging solutions across food, retail, logistics, healthcare, industrial, and manufacturing sectors. With operations across the UK, Ireland, European and international markets, Zeus is committed to innovation, service excellence and delivering measurable value to customers.

Brian O’Sullivan, founder and owner of Zeus Group, said: “This partnership with SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh represents an important step in demonstrating how practical sustainability solutions can be successfully integrated into large scale sporting venues.

“We are proud to support the stadium in its sustainability journey and look forward to delivering long term impact together.”

Cork County Board secretary/CEO Kevin O’Donovan echoed those views as he welcomed the new development.

“We are committed to enhancing the sustainability of our stadium operations while continuing to deliver an exceptional experience for supporters,” he said.

“Partnering with Zeus Group allows us to implement innovative, effective solutions that support our environmental goals and reinforce Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh’s role as a leading, future focused sporting venue.”
